The tomatoes are beginning to ripen fast and furiously. It started with a trickle, first tomato harvested on June 30th. This week things have picked up a lot. Ironically, the rest of the family is in Florida this week so I’ve got these all to myself. Tomato, basil, mozzarella with a pinch of salt, pepper and drizzle of olive oil = heaven.









Sure hope they continue until Fri July 23. I've a tomatoes-in-the-sun dressing recipe that might be just the ticket.
I am soooo jealous. For a variety of frustrating reasons our tomatoes got a really late start this year. We're just starting to get some little green fruit showing. Hope we don't get an early frost!
