It was labeled "cucumber" when I bought it, but...

mystery squashThese were a late season addition to our garden to fill in my lettuce bed in late June. The selection at the local garden center was pretty well picked over by then but we thought we’d try our hand at cucumbers, having never grown them before. Anyway, the flat was labeled “cucumber” but I’m now convinced the tags were switched. The plants and blossoms look like squashes and now that the fruits are set, I’m pretty convinced that we have squashes. The question is, what kind? Can you help me identify them?
