a tale of two blackberries

  • We planted a couple of raspberry bushes and they’re growing like wildfire! I have NO idea what to expect, but hopefully we’ll get something edible! Can’t wait to see which blackberries win the contest!

  • Expect them to sucker like crazy. Find some way to contain the roots or they will pop up all over next season.

  • Unfortunately, the drought this summer took its toll on both the cultivated and wild blackberries. The harvest was dismal.
